I work in the wedding industry, so when it came time to plan my wedding I knew what I wanted, what I liked and what I didn’t like. We planned not to get a DJ, first because I had never met a DJ that i really liked, and second to save money. I met Ben 2 weeks before my wedding, and hired him the next day. (I still can’t believe he was available on such short notice!) My husband and I both absolutely loved Ben, and can’t imagine not having him there on our big day. One of my favorite wedding moments is at the end of the night, when everyone circles up on the dance floor for the last song played, and Ben helped make that so memorable for us. We were deciding between two songs for our first dance, and Ben ended up playing the song we didn’t choose for our first dance right before our “circle up song” it brought us to tears. Because I have seen Ben DJ at multiple weddings now, I can promise that he is amazing with all different crowds on the dance floor, and is great to work with! Ben is kind, easy going, very professional, knows how to have fun, and is someone you will want to remain friends with after your wedding!

We absolutely loved having Ben as our wedding DJ! He mixed such fun music that kept guests of all ages on the dance floor, and we had multiple guests comment on how much they enjoyed dancing to his music. As the emcee of the evening, he timed everything perfectly and was organized and professional, yet fun and engaging at the same time! Ben was so great to work with leading up to the wedding, and he blew us away on the wedding day!

Ben was an easy and perfect choice for our big day! Very responsive to all of our requests and needs. We let him pick the playlist for the evening and he took out all of the guess work on what type and style of music to play that would keep our guests on the dance floor. I had the absolute pleasure of having Ben as the DJ for my wedding! The song quality and arrangement for my wedding was beautiful, and the party at the reception never stopped! He asks very detailed questions beforehand, to get a feel for what exactly you are looking for on your special day. Not only is he a fantastic DJ, but he really is your go-to person the day of. He keeps the wedding party and families on schedule throughout the night, giving gentle reminders and announcements for everyone. He is outgoing, friendly, and is the perfect addition every bride should have on their wedding day! If I could give more than 5 stars, I WOULD! Ben Nordquist is THE wedding DJ!

Ben is everything you want out of a wedding DJ. Not only did he play awesome music throughout the dancing part of the reception, he chose great music for the cocktail hour and timed all music perfectly for our ceremony. He also provided some beautiful uplighting to help jazz up our reception space. Ben was professional at every turn and did an excellent job keeping all of the timing on track once things got going. He was very approachable and willing to cater to what we wanted out of our special day. We have had multiple people reach out to us who attended the wedding asking who our DJ was! We are always more than happy to recommend Ben and his services.

Ben Nordquist was the best DJ we could have asked for! We got so many compliments from our wedding guests about what a great job he did. He was surprisingly thorough during our consultation and really got a feel for what kind of tunes we loved. As Lindy Hop dancers we did throw him the challenge of playing some swing music and jazz numbers during dinner and social hour, which he did exceptionally well. Then, he transitioned into crowd favorites seamlessly – we never felt there was a giant hop in genres, but he played everything from classic oldies to country music and current pop dance tunes! He helped us have a really great night of enthusiastic dancing 🙂 We highly recommend Ben!

We hired Ben for our company holiday party. He made the process to easy! He was organized, offered a call to discuss the music and environment we were shooting for, as well as offered additional recommendations. The day of the party, he was on time and needed little assistance setting up. During the cocktail party, he played some great music to get the party going and by the end of the night everyone was on the dance floor! He was so great at keeping the environment upbeat that we asked for him to stay another hour. HIGHLY recommend!

Ben did a wonderful job as the DJ for our organization’s annual gala which hosts 800 guests every year. He was quick to understand our audience and created an unforgettable experience for them. He allowed our guests to celebrate and join together to support a worthy cause.

We had Ben emcee and DJ our event at Mall of America! He was very punctual and accommodating with his setup, and super professional. Not to mention, his superb emcee skills were helpful to guests attending the event so everyone new what was going on. DJ Ben played everything from 90s throwbacks to today’s hits! Highly recommend him for your next event!

We HIGHLY recommend Ben! He ran with our song suggestions but also had a great playlist of his own that did a great job setting the mood and vibe that we wanted, and then — most importantly — DJ’d an awesome dance party that kept everyone on the dance floor during the entire event! Ben was very responsive, punctual and organized, and overall super great to work with. This was the first time we had a DJ for our event (college Homecoming dance), and we couldn’t have been happier with the result!

Ben was superb. He was professional and friendly. He kept 500 high schoolers thoroughly entertained for three hours. Many kids commented that he was the best Dj that we’ve had.

We contracted Ben to DJ for our Senior Sendoff celebration and he was nothing but absolutely outstanding! As most of the celebration was planned by students there was bound to be some snags in the plan and he was quick to adapt to our changes and needs. He was also great with taking requests from people and kept it clean and fun, which for a school function was exactly what we needed. There wasn’t a moment when people weren’t dancing to his music. Communication was also easy leading up to the event and set-up/tear down was all taken care of by Ben himself. Fantastic DJ, fantastic person, and energy!
